My collection of abstract art work often reflects the state of mind I’m in while creating, a moment, an event, something I heard, something I feel-any and all of these emotions and experiences finds their way on to the canvas. In this latest series, “Waiting for Elena” I have been influenced highly by the birth of my first Grand-daughter, Elena. You will notice shades of pink, blue, gray, yellow, salmon, white and cream in virtually all of the pieces. Some tones are stronger than others, depending on the piece itself, most of the compositions represent the pure love we feel for our family, the questions we ask ourselves as we grow older, and simply the experience we have when those we love grow and become their own person.

Artwork is so much about the process, not necessarily the end result, but when all the moving parts come together—well, it’s nothing short of magic happening. The large majority of abstracts in this collection are medium sized, so perfect to give as a gift or to fit into the smaller space in your home.
